Now I need to open with a disclaimer – this is not, as such, a list of resolutions. It would be more accurate to describe this as ‘a list of books/series I would like to get to this year’, but I won’t cry if I don’t manage them all nor will I be revolutionising/changing the way I do my reading. But that doesn’t make for a catchy title, does it?
I am a lover of lists. I even recently found a list of lists I need to make in one of my notebooks, but my problem is that I don’t keep them in one place, nor do I regularly go back to check if I’ve completed the tasks. I use them more for a kind of brain dump for what’s bothering me/floating in my head at the time. Which is all very well and good, but doesn’t help me in relation to remembering which books I want to read/what new releases are upcoming. I find it tricky to remember which series I’m waiting for a new book in, which ones I just need to buy the sequels for, and which new releases I have my eye on. So my plan is to type up a central list of books/series I would like to read so that I can come back to it over the year and remember.
Are you ready for my ultimate list? Are you sure? It’s pretty long… Here we go:
(I’ll also undoubtedly discover more gems through the year too…)

Hope you’re all having a wonderful festive period, see you in the new year!
I´m the master of making lists haha
Never heard of Lancelot and now thanks to you I really really really need to read it so thanks for that! 😀

I love the idea of having a central list that you can come back to! And I suppose having it published on your blog helps too (I keep thinking I’ll *have* to make an effort with keeping up with a bullet journal next year because I’ve told people that I plan to do so 😂).
I’m happy to see that Kate Daniels is on your list and I hope your second try goes better, as I know you lost interest around book three/four(?). Will you continue where you left off, or reread the first few?
Also, I didn’t realise you’d read some of Singh’s work! I’d like to try her books at some point, but I think I’ll go back to Andrews for a bit and try Hidden Legacy and Innkeeper first. Not sure when though, because I’m not sure I can afford to get all obsessed again, what with the buddy reads and readalongs I’ve got planned. 😂
I’ll be interested to see what you make of The Priory of the Orange Tree. People seem to be very keen on it! I wasn’t wowed by The Bone Season and haven’t read anything else by Samantha Shannon, so I’m curious to see what my friends think of this huge standalone!

I thought it might help me when i’m dithering over my next read 😂 i tried bullet journalling too, but i found just a weekly diary was easier and a notebook with what i’ve read listed inside.
Yes, definitely Kate Daniels. I think i’ll start again and try and binge them all. I did lose interest, i think i got up to number four – whenever the love story bit got resolved. But you’ve made me want to keep going! 😄 Hidden Legacy is better than Innkeeper, Innkeeper is just lighthearted nonsense, i think they’re only around 200 pgs each so quite quick reads.
I have read Singh! I’ve read the first few Guild Hunter books – the ones follow Raphael and Elena were fabulous! It then followed a different character and i didn’t enjoy it as much – it went a bit ridiculous! But the first two were so good I would like to keep going. I also really enjoyed Psy-Changeling. Such a different world, and the characters are fascinating. Highly recommend.
Hmm I’m a bit wary about Priory too. I enjoyed Bone Season and Mime Order, but i thought book three was disappointing
so i am unsure, but we’ll see! I’ll let you know 😄 do you have any books/series you want to get to next year?

Whoops, forgot to add my reply as an actual reply 🙈

To be honest, when I say bullet journal, I kind of just mean lists. 😅 I will try monthly spreads, but nothing really complicated or particularly pretty. I don’t think I’d keep up with it if I made it too complex! 🙈
Ah, sounds good! Haha, I hope you’re not disappointed. 🙊 Hidden Legacy interests me the most, so I’ll go for that first! Innkeeper sounds good for in-between heavier reads.
The Guild Hunter Name rings a bell, and I know someone who started Psy-Changeling too. I’m excited to try them! Argh, there are too many urban fantasy books to read. 😂
Yay, hopefully it’ll be an enjoyable read for you! I want to read the fourth Murderbot novella, and hopefully finally finish The Broken Earth trilogy too. I should probably also get back to others for which I’ve only read the first book, like The Expanse series!

Ahh Broken Earth, do you recommend? I’ve read another book by her and kind of hated it 😬 so i’m nervous about trying this one, although i do own it

I really enjoyed book one! It felt very refreshing. Not sure why I haven’t felt like continuing the series yet, but I tend not to continue series (apparently) unless I find the books addictive. 😂

😂 i’m the same to be honest! I find Urban Fantasy much easier to binge than normal fantasy 🙈

Oh yea, I’m looking forward to trying Under the Pendulum Sun in 2019 too, hopefully early in the year.
